Reflections on the Change Management Programme: Personal Takeaways
"The Change Management programme gave me a practical approach to implement change. Whether you are coming from Manufacturing Industry, Services Industry or even Government, we can apply directly change after joining the course.” were the words of Ms. Vina Khairunisa (Indonesia) after successfully completing the Short Executive Programme on Change Management, which took place from 31 March – 04 April 2025.
When asked why he decided to apply for the programme Mr. Urvin Bachoo (Malta) answered: “I applied for this training with the intention of deepening my understanding of change management, particularly in terms of practical steps and tools that could support its implementation in dynamic environments.”
Within change management handle resistance is crucial for the success of a change process, which was an important part of the programme and for Ms Khairunisa the key takeaway of the programme: “Leading and Driving change is somehow frightening since it's not only managing the hard part but the complex part of change. However, if you prepare yourself with good understanding of change diagnostic tools and prepare the step of change, it will make complexity easier.”
Mr. Bachoo in particularly valued the multicultural learning environment of the programme: “It was a genuine pleasure to engage with colleagues from such diverse cultural and national backgrounds. The multicultural setting enriched our conversations and broadened perspectives.”
Ms Khairunisa added: “With combination experiences and expert from lectures and participants, the discussion during course becoming more fruitful and full of insight”
About the Change Management programme
Change is a constant factor in today’s global business world. Organisations have to adapt to their external environment, but also make changes within their own structure. Organisational change requires a fundamentally different approach to organisational processes from the traditional approach of management. Managers have to decide on the direction of change and guide their organisation through the transition process.
The Short Executive Programme on Change Management is designed to help professionals to understand the rationale and objectives of organisational change and how to communicate these to the stakeholders involved. Furthermore, crucial for the success of the change process is to understand – and even more importantly - to handle the resistance factor at the start of the process.
