MSM to start project in Tunesia to develop the organic vegetable supply chain for tomatoes and hot peppers

Since June 2021, Maastricht School of Management (MSM) and Holland Greentech International BV (HGT), have been preparing the tailor made training of the staff of the “Centre de Formation Professionnelle Agricole Manouba” regarding the development of the supply chain for biological tomatoes and hot peppers in Tunisia.

The training program will consist of three components:

a) Bio-horticulture and IT, choice of seeds, nursery and seedlings, soil preparation and fertilization, integrated pest and disease control, irrigation, greenhouse cultivation, post-harvest handling (storage, cooling, packaging and logistics)

b) Introduction to entrepreneurship and small business development including business models, governance, recruitment and HR, finance, marketing and sales, preparation of annual reports / audit by accountants, certification

c) Introduction to pedagogical knowledge and skills including e-learning and the fundamental ICT requirements for online education

The project is managed by Senior Project Consultant André Dellevoet from MSM and the Tunisian Agence de Vulgarisation et de Formation Agricole (AVFA).
