MSM Contributes to EU-Africa Policy Debate on Trade and Economic Partnerships

05-03-2025

Maastricht School of Management (MSM) is proud to be part of AfriquEurope: The European Union and Africa in a Multicrisis World, a Jean Monnet policy debate funded by the EU’s Erasmus+ program. This initiative brings together experts from 10 European and 20 African higher education institutions to explore key global issues shaping the future of EU-Africa relations.

Under the leadership of the University of the Peloponnese in Greece, the project tackles topics ranging from security and governance to migration and private sector development. In February 2025, the fourth meeting took place at the University of Namibia in Windhoek, focusing on Trade and Economic Partnership Agreements (EPAs). The event saw active engagement from students and staff at UNAM, alongside European partners, fostering dynamic discussions on the future of economic collaboration between the two continents.

Insights from these discussions will contribute to a policy recommendation that the Jean Monnet project will present to the European Commission in the first half of 2027.
