Meet MSM's Staff Members: Introducing Ms. Inka Diddens
At MSM we are proud of the more than 40 staff members who are committed and eager to fulfill our mission in offering management and entrepreneurship education, advice and research to individuals and organizations from all over the world. To become more acquainted with our staff members and to show you how it feels for them working at MSM we will each month highlight one of our staff members. This month the spotlight will be on Ms. Inka Didddens.
Let me introduce myself…
My name is Inka Diddens and I work as Recruitment Officer at MSM. With a passion for hospitality I graduated with a Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) in Hospitality Management from Stenden University in Leeuwarden (NL) and Port Alfred (South Africa). Before joining MSM in 2017 I gained valuable front of house experience when working for Hilton and Kempinski in Germany and with Holland America Line at sea. Especially the cruise ship experiences were unforgettable since it brought me to so many places all over the world. With this adventure I made friends for life, I got challenged in my day to day activities and it made me grow as a person. After a few years I decided to switch jobs and joined HRC International in Maastricht (NL) where I was in charge of recruiting and alumni services. My main task was helping students to find a job or internship within luxury hotels and restaurants in both Europe and the US.
At the end of the day it is beneficial to have a classroom full of enthusiastic students…
Working together with so many people all over the world is what I like to do most. That is why I applied for the job as Recruitment officer at MSM. In this position I am connecting with potential students for our Master in Business Management (MBA) programs, Master in Management (MM) programs ,Master of Science (with RWTH Aachen) and short Executive Education programs. In this it is my aim to find that mutual fit, give personal advice on each individual background, guide the students through the application procedure and, even so important, build up the relationships with our alumni. At the end of the day it is beneficial for the cohort experience to have a classroom full of motivated ambitious and enthusiastic students which is why the selection criteria are very important.
I truly enjoy being able to contribute to people’s career, their lifelong learning and personal development…
Together with my colleague Hermina Kooyman, I represent MSM at various national and international fairs where I can connect with interested potential students, introduce our programs and give personal advice. I truly enjoy being able to contribute to people’s career, their lifelong learning process and personal development. So in case you are interested??…in the upcoming weeks/months you can meet us at the AccessMBA Fair in Johannesburg (South Africa), Cape Town, Accra (Ghana). Nairobi (Kenya) and Budapest (Hungary), at the Nuffic NESO Cocktail event in Pretoria (South Africa) and many more. I enjoy the travelling part of my job a lot. Not only to recruit new students on location but also experiencing new cultures and visiting places for the first time is very rewarding to me.
In my spare time you can often find me…
I love doing any kind of sports such as boxing, Pilates and body pump as well as stand up paddling in the summer. Living a healthy and happy lifestyle helps me to relax and to find balance. Not to forget I am a real foodie! I love to go to new places and enjoy spending time with family and friends.
