Dual degree partnership with Universitas Indonesia is a fact
Monday 13 November 2023 marked the signing of the contract with the Faculty of Economics and Business of Universitas Indonesia (UI) for offering a dual degree programme in Indonesia. This dual degree programme consists of the Master in Management programme of UI and the MBA programme of Maastricht School of Management (MSM).
A distinguished delegation from the Faculty of Economics and Business (FEB) of UI visited Maastricht for the official signing of the contract. Led by the Dean Dr. Teguh Dartanto, the delegation included members of the FEB management and faculty, such as Prof. Rofikoh Rokhim, Director of the Masters of Management & MBA, Dr. Isfandiarni, Head of International Undergraduate Programmes, Dr. Putu Geniki Lavinia Natih, Head of the International Office, and Dr. Renny Nurhasanah, Lecturer at FEB UI and the UI School of Strategic and Global Studies.
The delegation was warmly welcomed by Prof. dr. Mariëlle Heijltjes, Dean of the Maastricht University (UM) School of Business and Economics (SBE), Mr. Meinhard Gans, Director of MSM, Dr. Stuart Dixon, MSM Director of Academics, Ms. Amy Wang, MSM Director of Education and Dr. Huub Mudde, MSM Senior Project Consultant/Assistant Professor. After an introduction by both deans about the respective universities and schools, it was time to sign the contract, marking the official start of this new education partnership.
The Dual Degree UI/MSM-UM programme is a two-year part-time programme offered at UI in Jakarta and partially at MSM. The first intake is planned to start in the spring of 2024. Upon successful completion of the Dual Degree Programme, students will be awarded an MSc in Business Administration from MSM-UM and a Master in Management degree from UI.
After the contract signing, the UI delegation and MSM team further discussed the upcoming launch, emphasizing the collaborative steps required for the successful implementation of the dual degree programme, as well as the further development of the partnership in the future.
