Strengthening the capacity of WNC in order to enhance gender mainstreaming in the NICHE programme and government institutions in Yemen
The objective of this project was to strengthen the capacity of the WNC to guide the mainstreaming of gender in the NICHE programme and in the ministries of Higher Education; Technical Education and Vocational Training, Water & Environment, and Public Health & Population and their NICHE projects. This means that the WNC is equipped with knowledge, skills, resources, structures, network and credibility to guide the selected ministries in mainstreaming gender within their policies with the ultimate aim of reducing gender disparities in the sectors health, water and education.
The Consortium focuses on the following three result clusters:
- The strengthening WNC’s capacity to mainstream gender in the specific sectors and bodies.
- The strengthening of WNC’s advisory and policy maker role and raise its profile and network.
- The strengthening of WNC competencies in strategic leadership and in institutional management.
