Strengthening Teaching, Research and Consuitancy Capacity at the University of Zambia (STRECC)
In the period July 2011 – December 2014, MSM worked for the University of Zambia in a projectto strengthen the capacity of the university in providing a high quality and relevant teaching and learning environment where practical research is carried out and consultancy services are on offer, in order to enhance its contribution to national human resource and economic development.
Capacity has been strengthened in four areas that featured as priorities in the National Development plan:
1) Plant science, 2) Mineral sciences, 3) Renewable energy engineering and 4) Environmental management.
Among others, labor market studies were carried out and specific attention has been given to gender.
