Empowering Burundians with Digital and Entrepreneurial Skills for Current and Future Employment Opportunities (BURUDIGI)
The BURUDIGI project is positioned within Burundi’s shift to digital and green economic sectors, aiming to equip and ready its labour force, notably the youth and disadvantaged groups, for these changes. It seeks to dismantle obstacles such as restricted access to technology, deficient educational and training systems, and a lack of support for entrepreneurs. By enhancing digital capabilities and entrepreneurial spirit, the project endeavours to stimulate economic diversification, inclusive growth, and adhere to national developmental goals. Through the integration of digital skills into vocational education and training, along with fostering digital entrepreneurship within incubators, BURUDIGI is dedicated to advancing human development, expediting the digital transformation, and cultivating inclusive economies, thus elevating Burundi’s standing in the international economic arena.
